AU PAIR Programme is a wonderful opportunity to experience a different culture and to broaden you cultural horizon, also to get childcare experince, because the main activity is based on childcare in different families. As an AU PAIR you can participate to daily life of families from different countries, you can learn customs of these great nations and to decide which are the priorities in your life.
Information about Programme.
As an AU PAIR you will live as a member of the family, look after the children and help with household duties Your duties and working hours as an AU PAIR will vary depending on the ages of the children and the family’s needs. AU PAIR Programme gives you the opportunity to communicate directly with the host family and to establish friendly relations with them before your arrival, to meet AU PAIRS from different countries and to participate actively to community work.

Programme duration.
The minimum stay as an AU PAIR is 6 months with the possibility to extend your Wok Permit to 2 years.
Who may apply?

responsible, flexible, sociable and open person, motivated to participate in AU PAIR Programme.

persons between 18 to 30 years of age.
-
persons with Intermediate English level.
-
persons that can certify experience in the childcare under 2 years.
-
persons that are motivated for a stay away from their family for a long period of time in another country.
Application process
Participants complete an application form in English. ACORD organizes an interview for them to establish the following:
- level of English language
- adaptibilty to various work conditions
- childcare experience
Application documents will be presented to ACORD office according to the list issued by ACORD staff.
Place of work will be established by our partners according to participant’s documents and experience. Each participant will go personally to the embassy for visa.
Programme costs
This Programme is one of the most accessible for young people because of the fact that implies acceptable expenses for a long period of time staying.

Benefices, accommodation
Programme includes housing and food with the host family. As an AU PAIR you will benefit of medical insurance, monthly salary, and a bonus of 500$ at the end of the Programme. In addition to salary you will receive a travel card per month. This Programme is a good possibility to learn a foreign language and to get experince in childcare domain. Host family can pay your air ticket.
Travel
Each participate can have his personal schedule or can use the schedule proposed by ACORD.
